LISAvienna: A look back at BIO-Europe, and looking forward to BIO-Europe Spring 2019 in Vienna

In early November, LISAvienna, on behalf of the umbrella brand Life Science Austria, successfully organized Austria's participation in BIO-Europe in Copenhagen. The partnering meeting offered incredible opportunities to invite expert audiences to Vienna for BIO-Europe Spring in March 2019.

More than 4,200 participants, 2,325 companies, and around 26,000 pre-arranged partnering meetings – BIO-Europe 2018 in Copenhagen's figures were impressive. In this key European conference for biotechnology companies, LISAvienna organized the stand shared by Austrian participants and worked with EBD Group, the event organizers, to create a sponsoring package offering Austrian participants significantly discounted conditions for taking part. The LISA stand, which was located in the central part of the exhibition hall, became a magnet for the public thanks to its “cafe” design. The Austrian reception on the second day of the event also received above-average visitor traffic. This brought great visibility to the ~45 organizations sharing the Austrian stand, the majority of which came from Vienna. Together with ABA, aws, and ecoplus, LISAvienna presented the local advantages, potential partners, and national and regional support that is being offered to startups.

LISAvienna: BIO-Europe Spring 2019 in Vienna

Next year, from March 25 to 27, Vienna will host the renowned BIO-Europe Spring conference. This partnering event is the counterpart to BIO-Europe's autumn event and offers opportunities for startups, biotech & pharma service providers, the finance sector, and global players to meet one another and explore new collaborations and investments.

LISAvienna is pleased to have successfully collaborated with its national partners and the City to bring the event to Vienna. In their “home game”, Austrian companies and research institutions will have an even easier time presenting international partners with their innovations, investment opportunities, and technology offerings. Together, we want to use this chance to shine a light on Austria’s growing life sciences sector, as well as to share information about its 360-degree support for start-ups.

Please contact Jürgen Fuchs to discuss how this event can best serve your Austria-based company or research institution. We would be pleased to support you with discounted tickets, representation at the shared LISA booth, or consultations for creating side events or other marketing initiatives.
