Since 2016, contextflow has been developing next generation tools in close cooperation with globally recognised radiologists in order to manage their continually increasing workload and to improve patient care. contextflow uses deep learning based technology to analyse medical image data and connected facts, thereby supporting radiologists during their clinical routine with workflow oriented information search.

The round is a co-investment led by IST CUBE with participation from APEX Ventures. IST CUBE is a new venture fund, set up by the Institute of Science and Technology Austria with the aim to provide equity investment and support for science and tech based academic spin offs and startups. contextflow is a spin-off from the Medical University of Vienna and the European research project KHRESMOI, and is supported by BMWFW through aws with JumpStart, PreSeed, seedfinancing, as well as by the Vienna Business Agency.
