Human biomonitoring is about detecting (traces of) chemicals in our bodies to improve public health. Since chemicals are widely used in food and consumer products, and the exposure to chemicals concerns all citizens, this conference will be attended by high-level representatives from all EU Member States as well as representatives of the European Commission and other key stakeholders.
The Conference includes 3 sessions covering different aspects of Human Biomonitoring in Europe. Session A presents highlights of how Human Biomonitoring contributes to policy making. In session B results of HBM4EU will be presented and new challenges in HBM and risk assessment will be addressed. Session C brings perspectives and views on the future of Human Biomonitoring in Europe.
