Sempermed: Experience Sustainability - Sempercare® green at the MEDICA 2017 in Düsseldorf

Sempermed, the largest Segment of the Semperit-Group and one of the world’s leading producers of medical gloves, is exhibiting its products at MEDICA, being held from November 13-16, 2017 under the motto “Experience Sustainability”. At the world's largest trade show specializing in medicine and medical technology, the company will be presenting its latest sustainable innovation, the nitrile examination glove Sempercare® Green. The glove provides users and patients with the usual high protection and is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional examination gloves. In addition, the new surgical gloves portfolio "sustainably manufactured in Europe" will be presented.

New green Innovation - the examination glove Sempercare® Green
Semermed is presenting its newest green extension of the examination glove portfolio, the Sempercare® Green, to the professional audience attending MEDICA. The mint green nitrile glove combines reliable skin protection with model environmental protection. “The new production process, makes the green glove skin-friendlier than conventional processes and also has a lower allergy potential, as it does not contain rubber accelerators and chlorine. Because of this, it is especially suitable for people with sensitive skin or those suffering from Type-I or Type-IV allergies or those wishing to prevent it. The sustainable production process also saves on energy and CO2 emissions during production”, comments Philip Mok, Managing Director and Director Operations, Sempermed.

New mark for sustainably produced, top quality surgical gloves from Austria
“We also want to make the topic of sustainability more tangible in the area of our surgical glove”, says Mok. Confidence in a brand is essential, especially when it comes to surgical gloves, since one has to be able to completely rely upon such gloves in an extremely sensitive environment. It is thus important to know precisely where your gloves originate, under what conditions they are manufactured, from which company they are produced, and how much one can rely on the quality promised by such producer. “In order to recognize with just one glance, that our highest demands for safety and sustainable European production are fulfilled, we developed the quality seal: ‘Sustainably Manufactured in Europe’. From now on, this quality seal will be visible on all of our surgical glove dispensers. In this way, our users benefit from a double advantage: the highest European quality standards paired with a sustainable production”, explains Mok.

Further information and glove samples are available at the Medica Düsseldorf in Hall 5 G10. We look forward to your visit!
