BIO-Europe Spring (BES) is the central European partnering conference for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries in the spring. Partners for technologies and development projects are sought after at this event and investment options are sounded out – just as at the sister conference BIO-Europe that takes place in the fall.
With 28 participating organizations, Austria was well-represented. Major companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Gebro Pharma and Sandoz benefitted from the LISA stand as well as start-ups that included Arsanis Bioscience and Hookipa Biotech. In addition to the content highlights, coffee and Mozart balls attracted many visitors. Overall, the LISA stand was again one of the most popular meeting points at Bio-Europe Spring. This time, around 2,000 participants from about 50 countries took advantage of the partnering opportunities, workshops, exhibitions, company presentations and networking events at the event.
At the trade fair stand in Paris, LISAvienna provided interested parties with details about the life sciences location in Vienna, held consultation discussions regarding funding and infrastructure issues and mediated contacts with potential partners in Vienna.
