LISAvienna: Arab Health 2015

Arab Health celebrated its 40th anniversary today. For the fifth time, LISAvienna was also represented at the Expert's Corner of the WKO. 38 Austrian exhibitors, including 14 Viennese companies, presented their products and services in Dubai.

On the one hand, LISAvienna took advantage of the trade fair to stay in touch with the Viennese companies and to network these companies with potential partners. On the other hand, LISAvienna was the first contact partner present for questions about life sciences at the Vienna location and provided information about current trends so as to be able to continue to develop the platform's service offers in a targeted manner.

Around 93,000 visitors were interested in the offers of the more than 4,000 exhibitors from 151 countries. The strong rush of visitors was also reflected in the consistently positive feedback of the Viennese exhibitors. "At Arab Health 2015, we had the best response of all of the many trade fairs that Sumetzberger has attended in recent years," emphasized Peter Friedrich from the world market leader for hospital pneumatic dispatch systems, the Vienna-based Ing. Sumetzberger GmbH.

LISAvienna again attended the lecture and networking event of the Austrian Business Council UAE, whose topic was "Opportunities for Austrian Healthcare in the UAE." The presentations clarified the ambitious plans in the health sector in the Arab region. There will be a strong focus in particular in the field of health tourism in the coming years, which should result in a number of new major projects. For example, the number of hospitals in the United Arab Emirates is to be increased from 30 to 40 by the year 2016, as stated by Dr. Layla Mohamed Al Marzouqi, Acting Director of the Health Regulation Department of the Dubai Health Authority.

Conclusion:
Due to the increasing investments in the health market and projects in health tourism, the Arab region is becoming increasingly important for medical technology companies. In particular, it became evident for the Viennese exhibitors that a repeated trade fair appearance and constant contact care will improve the opportunities of an entry in the Arab market. For many companies, a branch in the United Arab Emirates can become a major hub for the distribution structure in the entire Arab region. Due to this strong upward trend, LISAvienna will be represented together with numerous Viennese companies at Arab Health in 2016.
