Efficient rRNA depletion
RiboCop probes efficiently remove cytoplasmic as well as mitochondrial rRNA and therefore afford a comprehensive view of transcriptome composition. RNA samples void of 28S, 18S, 5.8S, 45S, 5S, mt16S, mt12S ribosomal sequences are obtained.
Streamlined for diverse RNA analysis applications
RNA treated with RiboCop can be used for any downstream applications, e.g. RNA-Seq and microarrays. It is perfectly combined with SENSE Total RNA-Seq Library Prep Kit.
Simple protocol
RiboCop depletion is based on hybridization of affinity probes. The number and positioning of probes are designed for applicability towards intact as well as fragmented input RNA. No enzymatic reactions or mechanical shearing steps are involved, leaving full-length transcripts intact for downstream processing.
Fast workflow
The whole protocol has two major steps - hybridization and depletion. Overall it takes just 2 hour saving time for further RNA analysis.
Cost-effective
The price of the RiboCop is just about USD 29 per prep. rRNA depletion is no longer an expensive part of RNA sample preparation.
