Evercyte P-EP/SVTERT344 telomerized amniotic epithelial cells from placenta

Evercyte has added P-EP/SVTERT344 telomerized amniotic epithelial cells to its range of immortalized cell lines.

These new human amniotic epithelial cell (hAEC) lines are derived from the placenta region and can be grown without limitations in vitro while maintaining cell type specific markers and functions.

P-EP/SVTERT344 advantages

Together with human amniotic mesenchymal stromal cells (hAMSCs), hAECs form key components of the human amniotic membrane as part of the innermost layer of the amnion, in direct contact with the amniotic fluid of the foetus.

Evercyte’s human amniotic epithelial cells P-EP/SVTERT344 have been immortalized by ectopic expression of hTERT and SV40 early region.

High quality

Because they can be grown over indefinite time spans without limitations while still maintaining their original epithelial cell specific characteristics, markers and expression functions, the P-EP/SVTERT344 cell line provides valuable and standardizable in vitro model for studies such as placenta barrier function, or toxicity assays.

As with all Evercyte cell lines, these high quality human amnion epithelial cells are guaranteed free from contaminations (bacteria incl. mycoplasma, fungi, HIV, HAV, HBV, HCV, Parvo-B19) and cross-contaminations.
