Uni Vienna and Green Labs Austria: Laboratory Plastic Recycling: Symposium on Sustainable Research at Uni Wien and beyond

Laboratories are essential spaces for research and innovation, but they are also among the most resource intensive environments at universities. Plastic consumables in particular account for a significant share of laboratory waste. This symposium brings together expertise from research, lab operations and waste management to explore practical solutions for reducing the environmental footprint of labs and advancing sustainable research practices.

Organised by the Sustainability Office of the University of Vienna in cooperation with Green Labs Austria, the event focuses on knowledge exchange, real world insights and open discussion around laboratory plastic recycling at Uni Wien and beyond. Participation is free of charge.
