Lexogen: New features of the RNA-Seq data analysis pipeline

QuantSeq automated data analysis pipeline has been upgraded and now offers even more features!

Lexogen’s QuantSeq 3’ mRNA-Seq Library Prep Kit has already been recognized as one of the fastest, most cost-efficient, and accurate methods for expression profiling using next generation sequencing. The proprietary protocol focuses on capture of the 3’ end of mRNAs, which is very tolerant towards lower amount and integrity of the RNA input. The low read depth necessary for gene expression profiling by QuantSeq allows for a high degree of multiplexing. This makes QuantSeq the most preferable alternative to microarrays and standard RNA-Seq for gene expression profiling.
The QuantSeq data analysis pipeline has been integrated on the Bluebee® genomics analysis platform and is accessible free of charge for users of the QuantSeq kit though a complimentary code. The integrated pipeline enables fully automated data analysis, requiring no specialized bioinformatics knowledge to operate.

Species-independent data analysis pipeline
Analysis pipelines for QuantSeq are currently available for the following species:

  •     Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana)
  •     Melon Fly (Bactrocera cucurbitae)
  •     Nematode (Caenorhabditis elegans)
  •     Cow (Bos taurus)
  •     Drosophila (Drosophila melanogaster)
  •     Human (Homo sapiens)
  •     Mouse (Mus musculus)
  •     Pig (Sus scrofa)
  •     Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus)
  •     Rat (Rattus norvegicus)
  •     Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)

New species can be added upon request. Please contact info(at)lexogen.com if your species of interest is not listed.

NEW!
The pipeline was recently upgraded and additional functions, i.e. FASTQC, RSEQC, and differential expression analysis reports have been included. BAM files with the aligned reads are now available for download as a default function.
