Simoa – A new era of biomarker research at the Medical University of Vienna

Modern biomarker research & clinical neuroscience

In spring of 2019 a state-of-the-art single molecular analyzer (SIMOA) has been established at MedUni Vienna, which allows for reliable quantification of proteins at an ultra-low concentration. This technology now offers the opportunity to engage more deeply in the emerging implications and demands of personalized medicine.

On 3rd December an overview of recent and potentially ground-breaking biomarker research in translational and clinical neuroscience will be provided. You may learn how biomarker studies are just the beginning of a multi-tiered approach that, in the best case, leads to relevant applications in clinical routine practice.
