The workshops bring together research, industry, and healthcare, and offer a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and cross-sector networking. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
Brno | May 27 | 10:00–16:00 | Focus: Biomedical Nanotechnology
Venue: Mendel University, Zemědělská 1665/1, Brno, Czech Republic.
The first event brings together several innovative approaches at the interface of nanotechnology and medicine. Topics include nanoparticle-based drug delivery, genome analysis, nanobody applications, and preclinical therapeutics and vaccine models.
Vienna | June 10 | 10:00–16:00 | Focus: Extracellular Vesicles
Venue: Bezirksmuseum Brigittenau, Dresdner Straße 79, 1200 Wien
This second part of the workshop series explores the great potential of extracellular vesicles, tiny biological carriers that hold great promise for diagnostics and targeted therapies. The program includes impulse talks from leading EV researchers, insights into clinical translation, and offers a guided tour of the LBI Trauma laboratories at the nearby Lorenz Böhler Trauma Hospital (Donaueschingenstraße 13).
Linz | June 22 | 10:00–16:00 | Focus: Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
Venues: Johannes Kepler University Linz, Gruberstraße 40, 4020 Linz, FH Oberösterreich, Garnisonstraße 21, 4020 Linz
The final part of the workshop series offers a deep dive into Atomic Force Microscopy, a method capable of mapping and analyzing surfaces at the molecular level. It features expert talks with ample opportunity for questions and discussion and live demonstrations that show how AFM is applied in both materials science and biotechnology.
