Laboratory of Operational Hygiene became part of the Tentamus Pharma Group

Beginning of June, VelaLabs Austria, part of the Tentamus Pharma division, acquired the pharmaceutical test laboratory Laboratorium für Betriebshygiene GmbH (“LABH”), based in Vienna Austria.

“The sustainable merger with VelaLabs and, in the background, the umbrella of the Tentamus Pharma group enables us to expand our expertise and offer our clients even more different services, know-how and consulting” explains Ms. Helga Weisse, LABH Managing Director, about the motivation to take this important step. “The location of LABH in Vienna will stay the same for now and the operational processes, contact persons and employees will serve existing and future customers in the same way as before”, so Ms. Weisse further. “It was our goal to close a gap in our service portfolio – microbiology. Now, we are able to offer a real one-stop shop to our valued customers and we therefore heartily welcome the team of LABH on board” says Markus Fido, CEO of VelaLabs.

LABH, founded in 2003, is a GMP-certified pharmaceutical control laboratory in accordance with AMG §63 Pharmaceuticals Act and is accredited to ISO / IEC 17025 and ISO / IEC 17020. It is focusing on microbiological services e.g. sterility testing in accordance with Pharm. EU requirements and also environmental control and germ identification with different approaches.

Numerous recognized (bio)pharmaceutical companies are among long-lasting customers and also in the field of accreditation, valued client relationships exist for many years. The aim is now to proceed with the same emphasis and motivation even for a higher number of clients within the Tentamus Group. Particular strengths of LABH are the expertise in the areas of qualification and validation, as well as supporting the development of (bio)pharmaceutical products and materials of existing customers and new partners.
