New facilitiy
ViruSure is expanding its facility in Vienna! We are moving our offices from the ground and 2nd floors up to the 18th floor of the TechGate Tower. This will allow bolstering our lab capacity, almost doubling our capacity. Lab expansion in Q4/2021 will incorporate a BSL3 lab.
CIR certificate
Great news for our French customers! We are very happy to announce that ViruSure has been granted the Credit Import Recherche (CIR) accreditation from the French government. As an approved research and development service provider, ViruSure’s French customers can therefore benefit from a 30% tax credit for their R&D projects.

Our History:
A spin-off from the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, ViruSure was founded in 2005 by Dr. Andy Bailey to offer a range of biosafety testing services to biopharmaceutical product manufacturers.
Since 2008, ViruSure’s in vitro and molecular laboratories moved into the Tech Gate Science and Technology Park in Vienna, Austria. In 2017, we opened our new state-of-the-art in vivo facility in Vienna.
Since the company has been founded Dr. Bailey is our CEO and Operations Director. Our growing team offers a wide range of biosafety testing services and a breadth of expertise to customers in Europe, the US, and Asia to ensure you meet all relevant pathogen safety testing requirements.
In 2019, ViruSure was acquired by Asahi Kasei Medical and remains a separate business unit of its Bioprocess Division.
