The award-winning Vienna-based firm contextflow GmbH, developer of AI solutions for medical-based image searches, is continuing its growth trajectory and has engaged Medtech Market Access Ltd (“MMA”), a UK-based specialist medtech commercialisation firm, to support its efforts.
contextflow provides an image-based search engine which uses deep learning methods to support radiologists in their daily workflow. By simply selecting a region in the image, a radiologist can get visually similar reference cases and information about associated differential diagnoses to support clinical decisions. Instead of spending time on frustrating searches from multiple web sources, books and literature, the contextflow search engine puts relevant information at the radiologist’s fingertips in the blink of an eye.
The contextflow solution is aimed at the global radiology market and can help to address the current shortfall in radiology experts and backlog in image analysis, as well as enable smarter and faster training and education of radiologists.
Currently, contextflow’s technology is deployed in several clinics in Vienna and Germany. Following a recent round of successful fundraising and global recognition, contextflow is continuing its growth trajectory beyond the DACH region and is now looking to expand its European presence. With this aim in mind, contextflow has engaged London-based Medtech Market Access Ltd (“MMA”) to support its European commercialisation plans. MMA is leading a study to investigate, evaluate and prioritise European markets for contextflow’s expansion. MMA has led a process to gather specific market intelligence which will inform the further development and positioning of the contextflow product roadmap. This market intelligence, focusing on specific in-country ecosystems, will unearth particular barriers and accelerators for the adoption of this innovative product and provide contextflow with a detailed plan for European expansion.
Markus Holzer, CEO of contextflow says: "We have been in touch with MMA for quite a while now, and they have been very supportive from the beginning. We are excited to now officially work together with such experienced medtech sales experts who will support us in the early market entrance phase outside of the D-A-CH region."
