Elvira Kainersdorfer
Cluster Manager

Elvira Kainersdorfer joined LISAvienna in October 2022 as a cluster manager and contributes to advancing Vienna’s life sciences cluster. Her main activities include advising biotechnology, medtech and pharmaceutical companies about their establishment, relocation, funding, cooperation, infrastructure and internationalization. In addition, she promotes networking in the industry at international trade events, as well as in the context of cooperation with associations such as Biotech Austria, CEBR, GPMed and ÖGMBT. In January 2023, she joined the supervisory board of the Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology (ACIB).
After completing her studies in technical chemistry with a focus on biochemistry, biotechnology and food chemistry at Graz University of Technology, she worked as a key account manager at Roche Diagnostics in the areas of clinical chemistry, immunology and molecular diagnostics. Subsequently, she was responsible for coordination and marketing in the medical business areas at Olympus Austria. In 2006, Elvira Kainersdorfer moved to Austria Wirtschaftsservice, where she took over the position of Secretary General in 2007. From 2011, she worked as an investment manager in seed financing deep tech for life sciences. In 2017 she was assigned the management of the LISA – Life Science Austria program.
